I. Music on Main Street
The University of Orange’s Music City program hosts Music On Main this weekend. Join us on Friday, September 18, 2026, from 6-8PM at Golden Krust, Maria’s BBQ, and El Sabor, and then on Saturday, September 19, 2026, in Military Park on Main Street from 2PM - 7PM, for live music, games, and free food. There will be a Bouncy House, Video Game Truck and Raffle Prizes for attendees to enjoy:

II. Essex County Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day
Essex County residents are invited to safely dispose of household hazardous waste at no cost during the upcoming Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day:
Date: Saturday, October 3, 2026
Time: 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Location: Essex County Public Works Facility, 99 W. Bradford Avenue, Cedar Grove, NJ
Accepted items include paint thinners, solvents, automotive fluids, propane tanks, pool chemicals, gasoline, car batteries, household cleaning fluids, fluorescent light bulbs, and other household hazardous materials. This event is free for Essex County residents. Proof of residency is required. Commercial and industrial waste will not be accepted. Help protect our environment by properly disposing of hazardous materials and keeping them out of the regular waste stream.

III. BridgeWhiz
Help your child build critical thinking, problem-solving, and strategic decision-making skills through BridgeWhiz, a FREE online enrichment program for students in grades 4-12! Students will learn the game of duplicate bridge while strengthening math, reasoning, teamwork, and social skills. Classes begin on October 8, 2026. Register today at: www.bridgewhiz.org
