On Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 8:45 am to 1 pm, families and community members are invited to Lincoln Avenue School in Orange, New Jersey for an engaging Parent Education Conference and workshops designed to support and celebrate our diverse community.

This free event will bring together parents, educators, and community partners to share resources, exchange ideas, and strengthen the support systems that help children succeed. Attendees will enjoy meaningful workshops, multilingual engagement, and opportunities to connect with others who are committed to student success.

Breakfast, lunch, and snacks will be provided, and all participants are welcome.

The Essex County Department of Citizen Services/DEDTE will be hosting a Family & Resource Day: Backpacks & Big Dreams event. The event will be held on June 5, 2026, from 10 am - 2 pm at the Essex County One-Stop Career Center (50 S. Clinton Street, East Orange, NJ 07018).  Free school readiness supplies will be given away to the first 500 people in attendance! See the attached flyer for additional details.
